Hair: Nexxus Therappe

I've been a faithful user of Nexxus products for a while now. Several years actually. I heard about the formula and package changing and wasn't sure what to expect.

On the left I have the old formula of Nexxus Therappe (moisturizing shampoo) and on the right I have the new formula. After using both, I prefer the old formula. The old formula seems creamier and is more moisturizing to me. Both leave my hair soft, but overall the old formula was better for my hair. I'll be comparing the new formula to Sally's GVP Nexxus shampoo (which goes off of the old formulation) as soon as I can get my hands on it.

HAIR: Dominican Conditioners orders

I had been out of my fav Dominican conditioners for months! I couldn't take it anymore, I had to place an order with Beautyofny.com My package arrived within a few days (speedy shipping) and my conditioners were nicely bubble wrapped inside of the box.

I ordered the well known Silicon mix (16oz), Miss Keys 10 en 1 (16oz), Alter Ego Italy Garlic Conditioner (16oz), and the newer Silicon mix Bambu in 8oz. The Alter Ego conditioner is designed to help stop hair shedding it also makes my hair very soft. No, it doesn't smell like garlic (lol). I actually like the smell. Both Silicon Mix and 10 en 1 moisturize my hair well leaving it smooth/soft. I'll be checking the performance of these conditioners the farther I get in relation to weeks post relaxer. The longer in between relaxers the drier the hair seems to get. I'll be seeing what can keep my tresses feeling soft and moisturized!

HAIR: Joico K-Pak Reconstruct Set

So... I was on my favorite hair forum (LHCF of course) when I come across a post...I saw Joico and SALE, so you know I had to click..right? Apparently Trade Secret was having an after Christmas sale including some Joico shampoo and conditioner sets! I felt the urge to get there ASAP, so I had to make my way there within the following two days (the nearest Trade Secret is around 45min away).

I ended up purchasing the Joico K-Pak Reconstruct set, which included a 10.1 oz shampoo and conditioner and a mini hair spray. How much did this run me you ask? The set was 50% off so I paid around $11.00 for the set. Separately the shampoo is in the ballpark of $11.00 while the conditioner is around $13.00.

Now...How did the products perform? The shampoo felt a lot more moisturizing than I expected and my hair didn't feel stripped. I then applied the conditioner and let it sit......for longer than the directions stated (lol). I let my hair air dry in a ponytail on rollers without any leave in conditioners to see how the products would perform. My hair felt soft and moisturized yet strong.

Would I purchase again? Yes
